“My love feeds on your love, beloved, and as long as you live, it will be in your arms without leaving mine.” – (Pablo Neruda)
Melissa and Joe’s Pittsburgh wedding was my first for the 2018 season and, for an April day in the city, it was a beauty!
I remember looking at the forecast 10 days before and seeing nothing but little clouds and rain. Not the case though and when the day came we had a lovely time bouncing all over the town.
The day started at St. Pauls Cathedral in Oakland with its towering chapel and centuries-old architecture.
From there partied down to the north shore to get the bridges, rivers, and of course PNC Park!
The night ended with an emerald green and royal gold reception at Soldiers and Sailors Hall back in Oakland. Those specific colors weren’t random. Melissa and Joe met on St. Patricks Day back in 2014.
He proposed to her at the Jefferson Memorial in DC and surprised her with all of their closest friends! Melissa lived in DC for a time during college so I made sure to sneak it into their photos (see the ring shots!)
The night wrapped with a sparkler exit and one final dance alone in the hall before we said goodnight.
One of my favorite things about this wedding was that they decided to skip on party favors and instead donate that money to Animal Friends, a humane society, and shelter in Pittsburgh!
